What Is a Bulldozer Carrier Roller?
The bulldozer carrier roller is also called the upper roller or top roller. It sits above the track frame and is designed to carry and guide the chain/track, keeping it moving in a straight line between the front idler and the sprocket. On a D155A the seal is exposed to debris thrown upward by the chain during travel — a failure mode that is easy to miss until the tread is already worn through. Replacing a carrier roller at the right time costs a fraction of the chain damage it prevents.
