What Is The Function of undercarriage for Rotary Drilling Rig?
The Rotary Drilling Rig excavator Undercarriage consists of track rollers, sprocket, idler, top roller, and track chain group.
As the name suggests, the rollers play a supporting role and are located between the lower surface of the left/right beam of the chassis frame and the crawler tracks.
Depending on the tonnage of the excavator, there are usually 5-10 per side.
The sprocket plays the role of driving the crawler track and is fixed on the traveling motor. It transmits the drive of the traveling motor to the crawler track through the gear structure. Usually there is one on each traveling motor.
The idler plays the role of guiding the crawler track and is located at the end opposite the drive wheel. There are usually two on each excavator.
The top roller play the role of holding up the crawler tracks. Depending on the tonnage of the excavator, there are usually 1-2 supporting sprockets on one side.
